Due to popular demand, and for the first time ever, a very small number of limited edition fine art prints are available for purchase. The prints are museum quality, hand-signed and dated, and include edition numbers.

I have spent the past two years visiting various fine art galleries and talking to the nation's top printing companies to explore the various state-of-the-art printing techniques and materials for large format prints. What I found is that the best fine art prints are printed on Fujiflex face-mounted on acrylic (the highest quality printing material available to date, providing the richest color and greatest depth of any display method). They are ready to hang with a float mount backing. A good alternative to Fujiflex on acrylic is ChromaLuxe Metal Prints, which have a richness that is similar to face mounts, but are easier and quicker to produce, and have an attractive price point.

All my fine art prints are optimized by one of the best professional printing specialists in the world, with over 20 years of experience. We review the test prints multiple times, fine tuning them to ensure the color rendition, accuracy, sharpness, and noise control are the BEST technology can offer, at one of the finest printing companies in the world.

The story behind the award-winning photo: After two days of driving and flying from Fairbanks, Alaska, we were excited to arrive at Barter Island, which borders the Beaufort Sea (part of the Arctic Ocean). Our late arrival offered approximately an hour of light before the skies turned cloudy and dark. We made the most of this brief window of opportunity and launched a boat in search of the region’s famous polar bears. The first 45 minutes turned up no sightings. Starting to feel disappointed, we turned the boat around. Suddenly, out of nowhere, we saw something in the distance, and hope returned. We drew closer, quietly anchored, and sat in awe of the beautiful sleeping creatures before us. I captured the image 15 minutes after we first saw them. The cub sat up and leaned against the mother bear as the whole family looked curiously at me. At that exact moment, the sun began to set, casting a golden hue across the newly frozen sea ice. (Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska, 2013.)
